My Typical Day
Starts with a coffee, followed by reading patents and technical reports
What I'd do with the money
Let everyone get hands on with the most fun Chemistry experiments, and show that Chemistry is nothing to be afraid of. I realise different school have different funding opportunities for practical Chemistry- but I believe strongly in practicals as I way of active learning- and putting knowledge into practice
How would you describe yourself in 3 words?
Stubborn, hard-working and friendly
Who is your favourite singer or band?
I love singer-songwriters like George Ezra and Hozier
What's your favourite food?
I’m a vegetarian, so anything super fresh and tasty
What is the most fun thing you've done?
I recently went to Lapland and got control of some husky dogs!
What did you want to be after you left school?
I always wanted to be a Scientist
Were you ever in trouble at school?
Fortunately, I was the kid who always sat at the back and kept their head down

What's the best thing you've done as a scientist?
Have my own work published. Great feeling to know other people can read what I’d worked so hard on.
What or who inspired you to become a scientist?
I was always interested in Science, but my Chemistry teachers compounded that :)
If you weren't a scientist, what would you be?
A train driver- think of all the things you could see everyday
If you had 3 wishes for yourself what would they be? - be honest!
1) Confidence, 2) A little bit more money and 3) To run a bit faster
