The average life expectancy worldwide is now 70, and the main reason for this is our ability to cure diseases. Scientists have been able to find cures for several of history’s most feared diseases! They’ve found cures for tetanus, rabies, polio, measles, and smallpox which are all really serious and deadly. There’s lots of things that scientists are still looking to cure, but there’s also been amazing amounts of progress made!

There are several diseases that we can now cure, luckily for us, and some of them are disappearing. Polio is one of most serious disease that science managed to win a battle against. It was one of most dreaded of childhood diseases and it has now been eradicated throughout most of the developed world.
