• Question: Do people with different disabilities such as autism have different carbon outputs?

      That’s a very interesting question, and something I’ve been pondering with another psychologist for a few days now. You’ve had us rather puzzled!

      On the one hand, a “carbon footprint” could be perceived as an abstract concept, therefore someone far along the autistic spectrum may struggle with comprehending it. But on the other hand, the people that I know with autism can often obsess over things, therefore could be ideal people for behaviour change.

      I suppose the question is, would it be that ethical to attempt behaviour change on someone with the tendency to obsess over things?
