      Hello,

This is a fascinating question, and one that people have debated for a really long time. People pursue many things thinking that by doing so, they will find the meaning of life. Some of these things include getting a cool job, a relationship (or none at all!), sports, doing good for the world etc. But a lot of people feel empty when they achieve their goals, and start looking for something else.

I think there will never be a definitive meaning of life, but we have to find meaning within our own, individual lives. Some people find happiness and total contentment with walking to the corner shop to buy a newspaper every morning, whereas some people find their “meaning of life” by climbing Everest. For me, I think that my meaning would be to find the ability to “be here now” and just be absorbed in what I’m doing. I think that in modern society, we’re constantly planning for or thinking about something else (which is why we’re having the current Mindfulness craze!). Maybe I’ll find the ability to do that, and maybe I won’t until I’m an old lady knitting myself a tea cosy in a cottage, who knows 🙂

I truly believe that the meaning of life is that we need to enjoy and live fully each single moment of it.

      Hi Boris,

the meaning of life is different for every person. Life is the gift of conciousness, so we should live every day to the full!

According to the ‘hitchhikers guide to the galaxy’ its 42. I am not sure that is helping.

My own view about this question has changed greatly over the last year. This time last year I would have answer it with making sure that you are happy doing what you love and finding happiness in everything.
Now, I think the same is true still but I have to add that I protect my family, provide a safe place for them to grow. Remember that we need a home full of love.

I dont think there is any answer thats right or wrong, but live the life you want, dont be afraid to be wrong sometimes, have the courage to do things right. Work hard, play hard and love always
